Description: Weatherby Orion / Athena 20ga Forend - Round Nut – High Gloss Finish This forend will fit the 20-gauge Orion or Athena Weatherby Over & Under made in Japan by SKB. This is a non -finger groove style forend. This forend will also fit the 20ga SKB Over & Under Models 505, 605, 585, 685, 785, 885, GC7, 85TSS . This is a late production forend which utilizes a “Round Nut” and tapered head machine screw to attach to the metal piece. The round nut is pressed into the wood and held in place by serrations. The metal piece is machined for a tapered head machine screw. This forend has a high gloss polyurethane finish and may have some crazing developing in the finish. There are no structural cracks in the wood. The forend is a stained walnut with cut checkering pattern. The wood may have some minor scratches or other small indentations from storage or shipping. This forend will require a gunsmith to fit and glass bed the wood to the forend metal piece. The gunsmith will need to ensure that the wood has adequate clearance in the barrel channel to prevent the forend from cracking. We ship to U.S. addresses only.
