The estate-fresh pieces we list are for you.Some run; some do not but none have been cleaned, oiled and calibrated, so whether it is running at the time of this writing or not, one must have the piece serviced before wearing it as an everyday driver.We’re pleased to offer this honest, rather uncommon Waltham Premier dress wristwatch, circa 1940 It’s in relatively good condition for a nearly 80 year old work of tactile art, measuring approx. 35mm by 21mm – not counting crown, of course. Love the period numbers and faceted bar markers; love the sub-seconds register and classic aura of the piece.It contains a 9 jewel Waltham “879” movement that is not running. Balance appears to be good. No crystal; lug needs to be straightened. We’re offering the piece for someone to restore if they wish or to use in the restoration of another work of wrist art. Also, the piece can be worn as a “prop” watch for your production, as many of our pieces are.
