She is the author-illustrator of Bear Hug and has also illustrated Michael Rosens Send for a Superhero and Tony Bradmans Is That a Coconut? amongst other titles. She is fortunate to have worked with an array of well-known authors and, to date, has illustrated around forty childrens books for all ages, several having won awards. Alongside working on picture books, Katharine is a keen novice potter, enjoying the decoration of the pots as much as creating their shapes - either on the wheel or hand-building.
