Noritake Japan "Somerset" (set of 5) Dinner Plates 10.5" inch VTG

Description: Noritake Japan "Somerset" (set of 5) Dinner Plates 10.5" inch VTG #5317 discontinued This is a (set of 5) vintage retired Noritake "Somerset" 10.5" inch Dinner Plates. These plates measure 10.5" inches in diameter and stand just 7/8" inches tall. I have a second set of five of these plates. These plates have seen the most use and some of the gold inner line and rim line show signs of thinning and also small gaps appear in the gold line in some spots on these plates. This does not diminish the continued use and life of these plates. The "Somerset" pattern from NORITAKE Japan was only made from 1952 until 1973, so it is roughly 60-plus years old. It is an older pattern that is very elegant with the white fine porcelain decorated with dainty tan and gray scrolls around the rims with larger pink and blue flowers and leaves scattered around the inside body of the plates, trimmed with a thicker gold line around the rims. This is a quiet, understated and classic pattern with it's pastel multicolored pieces and in the thoughtful design. This set would be a nice addition to Noritake you may already own or another China as accompanying pieces. Each piece is in pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks or crazing, but shows signs of light utensil markings consistent with it's 60+ years history, and a decrease/ absence in the line of gold in the inner ring of plates and embellished with the Noritake green wreath and bow with a stylized letter "N" in the center Noritake China Japan Somerset #5317 Check out my other listings for more Noritake, holiday, seasonal, pottery and glassware.
