AS IS Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE MAGAZINE Dated October 1949, the cover of this CHILD LIFE magazine features a variety of Halloween decorations around a black and white photo of a child in clown costume next to a carved Jack O' Lantern pumpkin. Measuring 8-1/2" by 11-1/3" in size at 40 pages, magazine was geared for young children and their mothers - this issue covers Halloween themed decoration, games, coloring pages, etc., as well as fall themed story lines. Articles, poems and photographs are geared to keep a child engaged and entertained. Condition is good with toning to the pages from age, roughness along the page edges, and indication of a small area of old bug boring on the very bottom edge as shown - I've been through each page to make sure this is no longer active, and find no other issues beyond typical usage marks. I think this is such a neat slice of the time - so entertaining and fun - the advertisements are a hoot. Had always planned on framing the cover for my Halloween display but ran out of wall space!
