Description: Original Antique WW1 Issue Royal Navy Cordite Carrier Vintage WW1 Royal Navy canvas & cork ammunition holder or cordite bucket, with"N" relating to Navy Embosed. Many of these buckets were designed to carry cordite. These carriers are flash proof and carry cartridges. Cordite is a group of smokeless propellants developed and produced in the United Kingdom from 1889 to replace gunpowder as a military propellant. Some marks and scratches as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior. Great original piece.
