Description: Get M1 For The Road™Here at 'Get M1 For The Road', we're big fans of ALL things M1 helmet related! Lately we've found ourselves with too many M1 items and not enough free space, so it's time to thin the herd a bit. Our loss is your gain! Up for grabs - right here, right now, right away - is an ISRAELI "Kasdah" helmet (which is based on the iconic American M1) from the 1980's. Further details are listed below:Intelligence Brief: I've had the liner (hardhat) and shell (lid/steel pot) for a while, but I'm trying to trim the fat a little. I'm selling them both together as a set and I'm pretty sure that's how I bought them - way back when. The helmet is in good shape and there's nothing broken (like the webbing, rim, or bales). There is noticeable (painted over) denting on the outside which you can see in the pics. It's 'been there', so please look carefully at all of the photos before you even THINK about buying - I don't do refunds. This helmet is complete, but it DOES have a few issues. Without further ado, here are all of the details: ----OPERATIONAL SPECIFICS----Liner SitRep: This one is an orange vinyl version made in the 80's, but I can't find any maker marks on it. The Tama company usually put marks on the underside of the brim and the inside of the crown. That being said, the headband has some Hebrew writing on it and the suspension is marked in Hebrew. I took some pics, but the writing and stamps are worn quite a bit. I think that I see '1983' on a stamp, though. There are no cracks to the nylon and the paint is still pretty good (aside from a little wear and a 'blob' near the top). The 'A washers' have a little tarnish, but the suspension isn't ripped at all. The leather headband is in good shape, too. Oddly, there are two small holes drilled into either side of the liner. They're about the same diameter as a large paperclip.Shell SitRep: This model has the three bails/loops and it even has the proper chin strap to go with it! At some point, it was repainted (perhaps even more than once), but that's not at all uncommon. There are some dents on the top as well, but no huge craters, thankfully. This guy's been through some stuff, no doubt. I can't say for SURE that it was used in battle, but it definitely COULD have been. Oh, and you can see the maker's mark in the fourth pic. FINAL NOTE: I usually have a number of other items listed as well. I WILL put together bundle deals to save you money. Just let me know before buying. Also, I have a few spare (post-WWII) M1 parts, so just ask if you're looking for anything in particular.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Please take a look at the pics and item specifics for any other information you may require. If you have any questions or need more pics, just ask - I'm here to help. At times, I DO end some listings early and without notice (if there are no bids or best offers pending). So bid, buy, or make me an offer early - before someone else does.Bundle Deals & Best Offers: In most cases, I CAN offer discounts if you're interested in purchasing more than one of my items. One example may be: buy one item - then get 10-40% off a second one (just let me know before buying/paying). I may also lower the price on certain individual items. I'm here to QUICKLY sell stuff, not to get top dollar. It never hurts to inquire about ANY listing(s), just keep in mind that someone else may buy it up in the time it takes for me to get back to you. So, please feel free to ask, as every polite offer or question will get a response!Payment & Shipping: Payment is expected within a couple of days and our listings are sold AS IS, therefore no refunds will be given. If you have any questions (or want more pics), please ask BEFORE buying. Also, if you have 10 or lower feedback, please contact me before buying. FREE USPS shipping to buyers with a U.S. address in ALL 50 States plus D.C. and our territories (including P.O. boxes) - but NO INTERNATIONAL. Due to my work schedule, it may (rarely) take up to 3 business days before I can ship it out. My apologies if that's the case.Thank you for viewing our auction(s) and have a nice... eBay!
