Pair Large Vintage 60s Walnut Wood Metal Laurel Lamps Mid Century Modern Lights

Description: Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing pair of abstract sculptural wood table lamps that were manufactured by the Laurel Lighting Company. Circa '60s. The bases are constructed of walnut, and the sculptural element rests atop a black metal base. Between the sculpture and the black metal there is a gold brass decorative plate, and there is one at the very bottom of the lamp base just below the black metal portion of the base (see photos). Both lamps have a standard on/off rotary knob switch located at the socket, and they also both have their original harps attached. All of the electrical components appear to be original to both lamps. No shades present, and no finials present - those will be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. They'll make a nice addition to any mid century modern interior! Measurements: Each lamp stands approx. 38.25" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the harp where the finial screws in). The abstract wooden portion of the lamp measures approx. 19.75" tall x 5.5" wide (at its widest point) x 4.25" deep (at its deepest point). The black metal portion of the base at the bottom measures approx. 5.75" tall x 5" wide x 5" deep. Condition: Both lamps are in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, rust, oxidations, etc. One of the walnut bases shows what appears to be a few small white marks - presumably it is from something rubbing against the base. It should come clean with very little effort - we chose to leave it as it was acquired. The bases also show a small amount of color loss on the top surface of the very bottom brass plate at the bottom of the lamp (see photo). Nothing major whatsoever, but being mentioned for accuracy. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in good shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. One cord is beige, while the other is brown - they came from different sources when originally purchased.
