Description: Pictured here is a pair of antique Edwardian ladies golden beech wood shoe stretchers with a lovely patina, dating to around 1904 to 1907. These stretchers were used by shoemakers to stretch lady's boots or to make them last longer. There is a makers emblem on the top showing a leaf in a diamond along with “R” or “L” for which foot it fit and a model number. There are leather pads on the toes that are only nailed at the top so we left them that way, but they could be removed or glued down. The trees are composed of three pieces that go together with a tongue and groove much like a jigsaw puzzle. This pair of shoe trees are quite rare and would make a great display in a store or home. Please enjoy the photos for the best look. Measurements are 9 ¼” heel to toe x 2 ½” at the ball of the foot x about 10” to the top of the handle.Be sure to view all the photos.
