Hardcover, published 1850 by Phillips, Sampson & Co Boston. 5" x 7.75", 492 pages. Book is in Good Minus condition, with tight binding and mostly clean, lightly toned pages (smudge on page 10.) Significant foxing noted on the illustrated pages. Interesting dedication on first blank endpaper, dated 1851. Gilt embossed cover boards & spine have hard bumped corners, significant edge wear and at top/bottom of spine, and there's a hinge crack started on the back (pic #21.)
