Rare 31” Super Large A.W. Fr. Kister China W/8inch Head /Width Height

Description: Magnificent antique lady china manufactured by the A. W. Fr. Kister porcelain factory in Germany around 1860-1870. This is the largest size China shoulder-head of this factory. She is 31 inches tall with a shoulder head height of 8” and a shoulder head width of 8”. Amazing that this massive China head has never been broken. There are no repairs, cracks, hairlines nor imperfections. Her molding is very deep so she is older. She has nice facial painting soft and creamy with the signature lips curled up at the ends into a smile. The only imperfection is a tiny dot of missing color on her right cheek barely noticeable. Reflections are from the camera flash. She has rows of sausage curls around her head and a white center part. Her body is a professionally made of cotton muslin sawdust stuffed with brown leather hands hand stitched and very very heavy. It is appropriate to the era of the China head and strong to hold weight of the big head. Black cotton stockings, antique pantilets, chemise and slip. Has a child’s beautiful cotton white antique dress that fits her perfectly. Her overskirt is a fragile black cotton skirt that is sturdy with a couple pin holes. All of her clothing has been washed to preserve her heritage. Wears an antique gold broach with black stone. She looks like a benevolent auntie from the 1860’s. Sweet face.
