Description: Rare Vintage 1990-s Music Box A Seeley's Mold German Parian Bisque China Shoulder Head Doll Signed This is Rare very beautiful Vintage Music Box with a Seeley's Mold German Parian Bisque/ Porcelain Lady Doll Head and Shoulder Plate. It is signed Sherri Alexandra 10/91. A Seeley's mold. Alexandra is the guarantee as it was the Seeley's name given in their own catalogues (Seeley's reproduction molds catalogue).This is handmade. The music box was probably made in 1991 using an Reproduction of an Antique Bisque Head China Doll. The Sherri signature is over the original signature, which is poorly readable. The Lady Doll have a Turned Head Pierced Ears. Exquisitely molded features with blue eye and red hair. Having a victorian style unusual hairdo and cameo heckles. The box plays an unfamiliar melody, the winding key is on the back wall of the box.You can find many German dolls made with the Parian Bisque Head China Doll, the music box is a rare item. Doll on a box was a Seeley's weekend doll making seminar they used to have once or twice a year. Was quite popular and was published in several full making magazines at the time. Circa 1990's.
