Description: Rare Galvano Bronze bronze-clad bookends of two nude girls and a deer. Listed in Kuritzky and De Costa's Collector's Encyclopedia of Bookends (2006) on p. 172 (plate 1093), where the authors title the set "Girls with Deer," rate it 5 (Rare) for rarity, and value it at $150. The paper tags identifying the company are long gone. MATERIAL: Bronze-clad with a rich, dark bronze color. A magnet does not stick. CONDITION: The bookends are in nice condition. The material on the backs and bottoms is worn and a bit loose at some edges. DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT: Each bookend is approximately 5" tall, 4.75" wide, and 3" deep at the base. The bookends as a set weigh 3 pounds, 15.6 ounces. The photographs are part of the description. Please examine them carefully, using the magnifier. SHIPPING: The bookends will be shipped bubble-wrapped in a USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box, the cost of which is $18.40. Buyer will pay for shipping.
