Description: A very fine English Georgian18th century "Sparrow Beak" Cream Jug, made by Worcester, and featuring a slim "Double Strand" handle.The piece has a beautiful floral design and a blue diaper decoration around the inner, upper rim. It is fully factory marked with the first period "C" Crescent mark in blue to the base which dates it c1775.It measures 3 1/2" or 90mm in height, and 3 1/4" or 85mm from handle to spout.This is an extremely rare piece of Worcester for the collector, which comes in a superb condition, and it has a small hand written letter inside which shows it was owned by a Mrs Gunnell in 1860, having previously been her grandmothers (see images).
