Description: Please look at pictures, what you see is what you get! These are sold AS-IS! No guarantees or returns!!! “W1675 XSAS" Beautiful B&L Ray-Ban Round Metal Sunglasses With Tortoise-Shell Lenses. Comes With Original B&L Box, A Ray-Ban Hard Case, Cloth, And Pamphlet. PLEASE READ: PREFACE: There are barely noticeable imperfections on the lenses that do not impede vision, depicted in the pictures above. I would consider these as being in pristine condition considering that they are well over 30-years-old. That is just my opinion, though, and not a statement of fact. It’s inevitable that there will be some flaws since these were made in the 1980’s/ 1990’s: nothing, even if preserved, is impervious to the effects of aging. I try to be as thorough as possible in my listings, so I’ve included anything I could possible think of. These are a limited edition pair of Bausch & Lomb's “Classic Metals” Ray-Ban production line. This pair in particular is very difficult to come across in such exceptional condition since—with the lenses being attached to the tortoise shell lining, which itself is placed inside the gold-plated frame—the lenses in these sunglasses would break, leaving only the tortoise-shell lining and metal frame. Bausch & Lomb had various different productions of short-term sunglass lines (e.g. the "Diamond Hard," The "General," "Ambermatic," "Orbs," “Sidestreet,” “Chromax,” etc.) which are relatively unknown today outside of a community of collectors and vintage sunglass enthusiasts. These sunglasses have the common identifying marks of authentic B&L-era Ray-Bans: The "Ray-Ban" insignia is marked on the upper-left corner of the left lens in a gold tone, which is indicative of the time of production (most B&L Ray-Ban in the early-late 1990’s featured the “Ray-Ban” logo on the top left of the sunglasses’ left lens with a gold-tone ink/paint rather than white). The "B&L" initials are embossed on both the left and right lenses on the outer edge adjacent (or close) to the arm hinges. The screws that connect the arms to the sunglasses’ frames are flathead, rather than Phillips head, which is a key component that differentiates most Bausch and Lomb Ray-Ban from Luxottica Ray-Ban (of which the latter features the Phillips head screws). Unique to this production line, a noticeably thick protective lining—in this case, a tortoise-shell design—is attached to the lenses themselves (rather than the frame). This pair has a gold-plated metal frame around the green G-15 lenses, which—in addition to the temple tips (ends of the arm pieces)—have a beautiful tortoise-shell protective lining. The nose pieces have the classic “BL” etching to further indicate the authenticity of the sunglasses as being Bausch and Lomb Ray-Bans. The bridge connecting both lenses is engraved with “B&L Ray-Ban U.S.A.,” and the B&L model number (“W1675 XSAS”) is on the inside of the left temple tip. The design on these is unique, from the arms to the frames of the sunglasses themselves. These do not appear to have been worn, but do have minuscule blemishes that, I would assume, are the result of being removed from various cases over the years. They DO come with a case, but it is NOT the original Ray-Ban case. They also include a Ray-Ban cleaning cloth which, again, is NOT the original cloth for this pair. The box is a Bausch & Lomb box, but I cannot guarantee that it is what this pair of sunglasses was originally sold in. Feel free to message me with any inquiries or offers!
