Description: 30 seeds from Queen Lime Red Zinnia (Zinnia elegans 'Queeny Lime Red') - open-pollinated grown without herbicides or pesticides. Zinnia's do best in sunny and dry locations and thrive in the afternoon heat. Queen Lime Red Zinnia's have the unusual combination of blossoms that gradient mix light green with dark pink in several variations(see photos). Plants benefit from staking to keep stems upright and will reach 2.5 to 3 feet tall at maturity. Deadhead/cut fading flowers to encourage more blossoms. Grow in sunny location with well-drained soil. Once established, requires little care. Germination tested Dec 2024, germinate in 5-14 days at 75-80 degrees F. Suggest starting indoors 4 weeks before last frost, Plant 1/4 inch deep. Transplant outdoors once night time temperatures remain above 50 degrees. Can be direct sown once soil temperatures are 50-60 and can be kept moist until seeds germinate and get established. Zinnias will thrive in warmer spring days/summer and bloom until the first frost in Fall. Shipping: Shipped via first-class mail. US buyers only. Standard USPS first class delivery time is typically within 5 Business Days(85%), however due to USPS changes in the Fall 2023 reducing sorting centers, some mail is being delayed up to 10 Business Days.
