Description: Perfect for a Ren Fairs, Highland events/games, reenactments, or Xmas/winter Holiday events. For consideration is a handmade, adjustable, elastic-draw waisted skirt & sash made of 100% homespun cotton. The fabric is a light weight, woven cotton, not stamped. The skirt's 1"-wide waist band has a 3/4" white elastic band through it that is left open a little at the back center where you can tie off the elastic to your fit & comfort. Waist band is top stitched for a clean finished look. The checked plaid pattern is matched at the seam as shown on pics. Inside seams are pinked to prevent fraying. Natural selvage edge, which is slightly fringed, hem ready for wear or hemming. Skirt is very full & can easily be worn over a crinoline or hoop skirt. There is also a matching flannel sash that is long enough to use for a Highland look or holiday-time neck scarf. It is made of 2 pieces that are seamed at the shoulders, also matched. The edges are left natural with just a fringing of edges of the weave. The only pieces w/ sizing is the green peasant top. Labeled an XL but it seems to run big & has flexible sizing due to its stretch. It is shown on a body form set as more of a 2X to 3X. So, please see the measurement for a good fit. The top has an elasticized neckline that can be worn on or off shoulder. The sleeves are also elastic at the ends. The torso area is a series of ruffles sewn down overlapping & also set to stretch. Bottom loose ruffle is long enough to be a peplum. So, there's quite a bit of stretchable gather in this top & the green matches the skirt green very well. Add some red accents & maybe an apron, and you've got a nice Xmas holiday outfit too. Add the scarf over a blazer & you're ready for some caroling.
