Description: Classic Antique 2 Lap Finger Shaker Style Bentwood Pantry Box with LidNice Aged Brown Wood, Wood Peg & Older Blacksmith Wire, Square & Rectangle Nails, Approx: 8" Diameter x 3.25" High, 10 Ounces Straight from a collector's private treasure trove is this really nice mid-sized natural bentwood pantry box in pretty solid condition. There is some wear to the surfaces as shown in pictures & video. Has 2 lapped fingers fastened with old wire staples & older nails. The bottom seam of box seems to be secured with wood peg nails and the sides old metal tac nails. There is a wood peg (or filler) in the middle of the lid like it may have had a small hole at one time, but hard to know for sure. Based on the elements of the piece it is likely late 1800's. Really nice display size and still suitable for use if needed. Items with video provided may appear a little darker than actual due to our video capacity at this time. The process is not difficult, but the timing of such does not allow adequate time for the item to be returned to us & then for us to proceed with a claim (chain of custody questions can arise as well on returned items due to double shipping and handling so it is just easier for Buyers). So again, as noted in listing, we do not offer returns. Of course, there is free local pick up and we can meet to assist if you are near Indianapolis or driving through. We do this often.
