Well its basically a bright Orange Sapphire from the mining district of Padparadsha India. Is essentially played out now but 20 years ago it was producing Sapphire with the most amazing play of red and yellow fire. Alas no more. We do have a source though for a created sapphire with the same awesome color attributes and for a ton less money. In plain English this is simply a very pretty stone and its well mounted in this Sterling Silver ring. Gives me goosebumps just to look at it. This ring has got great filigree running down the sides and the stone is set in an East-West orientation. It is simple enough for everyday wear yet pretty enough to wear out in the evening. ____________________________________________________________________ BTW Since we make this from scratch after you order it we have a lot of flexibility.
