Studs writes to his friend Paul Conrad, the editorial cartoonist for the Los Angeles Times, with lots of news about his life and asks if Conrad's book Drawn and Quartered is out yet. At the end of letter, he asks "what did the syndicate say about my getting back on the cartoon list?? The letter comes with the original envelope. It is a great association between two of the most important American newspaper personalities of the twentieth century. The letter comes from the Paul Conrad estate sale held a few years ago.
