This is a fantastic rare piece measuring in a stunning 6.5mm deep only seriously not much thicker than it’s incredibly rare original stainless steel “Milanese” IWC signed bracelet!! IWC never bothered to chase registration with the Swiss Board of Chronometers and that’s why it doesn’t carry the COSC chronometer stamp as they thought why should they pay the Board for their rubber stamp when IWC makes chronometer rated watches anyway! This watch is a manual winding IWC calibre 403 which is also known as the Calatrava and is referred to with a RJ207 reference as well. This is a completely original piece. It’s near impossible to get one like this with it’s original IWC bracelet too most are found on leather only these days. They were produced only for four years between 1970-74. Casing is a classic IWC 34mm without crown and 35mm with as the crown like the entire watch is designed to be ultra slim. Movement is buttery smooth to wind. Dial is gorgeous almost silver and pristine as photos show. Roman numerals with minutes chapter ring and International Watch Company signature. Perspex glass is absolutely perfect. Three hands are perfect. Unpolished casing with rarer long tapering lugs making it bigger on the wrist with some wear. I never polish. IWC signed Milanese bracelet in superb original condition with minor stains on the end that pushes under and through the clasp. Easily polished off. Case back is superb and movement is clean, signed, serialed and carrying calibre number. This is an extremely rare amazingly slim chronometer grade IWC; a watch from one of the very best Swiss watchmakers ever!
