Description: Toshiba RT-2800 Actas Boombox 1977. What you see in the pictures is what you get. The Good: I was able to test it out. The radio AM/FM both work perfectly, and the sound is great. I was unable to pick anything up on the shortwave setting, but I could hear it searching while turning the tuning dial. The dial lights don't seem to work when you push the "dial light push" button. The battery compartment is free of corrosion as well as the microphone battery compartment. The antenna is really long, and when extended, it's tight like new. The Bad: It is missing the parabolic reflector, shoulder strap, and mic cord. The tape player doesn't seem to work. It could be a belt related or possibly just needs lubrication, but the spinners are nonresponsive with or without a tape. I'm not sure about the microphone. Top of unit has some paint speckles from being used by whomever back in the day but adds character I guess. Maybe alcohol will clean it off? Overall, for a 46 year old unit, it is absolutely beautiful and makes for the perfect display piece. If you have any questions let me know. Thanks for looking!
