PLEASE READ QUALITY CONTROL REPORT BELOW. Not to be confused with the newer, mass produced Wenger GST line that pales in comparison to this true 27 jeweled, 4 hand, hi end movement (found in many old school Tag Heuer chrono watches) real chronograph watch. Engineered out of a solid block of stainless steel and designed to withstand some of the most severe climatic conditions found on mother earth. This classic timepiece is apx 25-26 years young yet has not seen a significant amount of actual wrist time during this period thus remains in overall good to very good, gently used shape for it's age. Sapphire crystal appears to be mark free. Gorgeous dial with gold stick hour markers and gold hands is crisp & clear. Polished gold toned bezel is very good with trace scuffing. Case still looks amazing with fine scuffing to the left side edge. Caseback is very good with a few tool marks and fine scuffing which will never be seen when worn. Even the OEM Croco grain leather straps still look good showing only an indentation where it was fastened to the buckle which should serve as a testament to the overall direct usage (or lack thereof) to the watch. However, if you look a bit closer to the straps, you may notice some tiny, scattered paint splatters. These are difficult to rub off so, if you rub too hard, you will likely remove some of the color tone to leather. Thankfully, these small paint splatters are limited and limited only to the straps and not too easily noticed. Watch and buckle are free of any paint splatters. Moral of this story is don't paint with your good watch on no matter how small the paint job is. None of the reported wear is considered significant for a limited run watch in this age range that has been well maintained. It's unlikely you will ever find a NOS one of these so just buy it and enjoy it. Be happy. QUALITY CONTROL REPORT. While the watch does keep main time & date perfectly there seems to be an issue with the large 60 second hand. It appears to be frozen/stuck in place so is unable to recalibrate to zero positions. The small 1/10th sec sub dial and small 12 hour sub dial are operating as intended as is the large 60 min hand. These all return to zero positions when reset. So you have just the one large 60 sec hand that is stuck which may clear up on it's own just from exercising the functions. Also, you can still work around this by timing off the small 60 sec sub dial. I've seen it happen before on other chrono watches. If not, just live with it as it is. You have to admit, this thing looks insane and nobody but you will ever know about this issue. Price has been reduced accordingly. I will not take a return for this as I have disclosed all known problems upfront. Ready for most any water activities, playtime, extreme adventure, military personal or add to your collection to proudly display. Please review numerous hi-res pic's under magnification and consider as part of description. If I failed to verbally mention something but you notice in pic's then you can consider it as described as the pic's speak for themselves. Watch has always been professionally maintained and cleaned so it arrives without any accumulated dirt & grime from prior limited usages. Recently fitted with a fresh Energizer battery and running strong. ALL chrono functions operate as intended and calibrate to zero positions when reset other than what was already disclosed above. Some specifics: Watch measures just over 1 1/2" or 39mm across case excluding crown, chrono pushers and lugs. Width between the lugs is 20mm. Strap length is apx 9 1/2" or 240mm from tip to tip so please bear this in mind prior to making a bid/offer. This is not one of those refrigerator sized watches of today so it might look small on a very large wrist. Any concerns as to size/fit please contact me first as this is a NO RETURN Listing. Included is the super cool, ultra rare watch, two extra leather straps and a genuine Wenger presentation box (not original to watch). NO other boxes, extra links or paperwork but watch is relatively EZ to operate. Remember, the crown and chrono buttons are screw-down. They must be unscrewed to operate and MUST be screwed back down in order to retain any water resistance. Detailed chrono manuals can be found on the internet if so needed.
