Description: From a local estate, lady said it belonged to her mother-in-law who had passed. Basket measures overall approx 17" with handle. Handle is three strands of double twisted wire with no barbs, the three strands are wrapped together on top to form handle and a smooth area to hold it. Basket itself has the barbs, see closeup of side of basket. Bottom is open wire to hold in whatever you chose to use. Please be careful where it is placed in home, the barbs will scratch or cut. Also could damage wood furniture. Beware for children or pets. History of piece is unknown. This piece is heavy and large in size, so shipping is a little high, found Fed Ex to be the cheapest way to ship. Buyer pays shipping/handling.
