Description: Vintage map of the Theatre of War issued during World War II, by WLS radio in Chicago (their Prairie Farmer station). Large, two-sided map measures 27" x 36". One side has maps of the China-Burma-India war sector, Commonwealth of the Philippines, East Indies, Japan, and the Pacific Ocean War Area, along with insignia of the United States Armed Forces and photos of the WLS newsmen and news schedules; the other side shows maps of Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg; Italy and the Balkan area; Norway, Sweden and Finland; Paris; and Berlin. At the top of this side there are black & white photos taken by a WLS war correspondent. This map is not in the best condition: Some other bends other than at folds. Some tears at fold edges. Some sizable holes where the folds intersect, and some smaller ones. Some discoloration along some folds, some other pale discolorations. This appears to be a map that was well-used. Still all intact. Published by the Geographical Publishing Company in Chicago. Please note that your state's sales tax will be added to invoice.
