Description: This vintage Chinese Canton dish features a beautiful blue and white stylized scene that captures the essence of traditional Chinese Exported ceramics. This is an unusually thickly potted high glazed porcelain dish or deep plate. The decorator has reduced the standard Canton patten is it’s bare minimum. Pleasantly exuberant to the extent it has a folk pottery look. At first I thought this might be a Japanese interpretation; the pottery reminds me more of the weight of an Imari dish. It is a bit of a mystery. I have dated it later than I would usually would. It might be a toss-up, but I have concluded that it more likely Chinese.
