The mixer pictured in this listing in not part of the sale; the listing is for a hub cap only. Original KitchenAid manufactured by Hobart Mfg. Corp. in Troy, OH #10 attachment hub cover cap also known as hub plug. This cap fits most every stand mixer made by Hobart for KitchenAid from the 1940s to the 1990s including but not limited to models G, 3A, 3B, 3C, K4, 4C, K45, K5-A, K45SS, K5SS, and Hobart N50. This plug is made out of metal and keeps the attachment hub hole neat and clean when attachments are not in use. Also it is missing from most every vintage mixer listing that I see on eBay. Bring back your vintage KitchenAid to its original luster with this original metal hub cover cap. Minor fitting adjustment may be necessary (please read):This hub cap was designed to work on mixers made over the last 100 years. Each mixer is slightly different and due to paint residue, attachment grease, food build up, etc, you may have to bend the metal prongs on the back side of the hub cap with a flat edge screw driver to achieve a perfect fit with your mixer. The prongs can be bent inward or outward which allows minor changes in its fit profile to tighten or loosen the hub cap with the mixer. A perfect fit can be achieved on most all vintage KitchenAid and Hobart mixers of the models described above using this technique.
