This auction is for a Vintage 1970 Ludwig Green Sparkle that has been put together from Original Factory Matched Ludwig 3 ply drums with reinforcement rings. The Vintage Shells were selected and matched for quality of construction, resonance and tonality. Our goal is to capture the identical sound and feel of Bonham’s actual 3ply 1970 Green Sparkle Ludwig Drum Kit. This is not a reproduction kit, but Original Vintage Ludwig Factory Matched Drum Kit and professionally wrapped with Green Sparkle. Same exact green sparkle wrap that Ludwig uses. Even has clear interior and Blue and Olives Badges with correct serial numbers. Precision Drum Company, one of the best in the business did wrap. The drums are an original factory kit. Ultra rare find! The very rare 10” x 14” 3ply Left Side Tom with the muffler in the “Correct Bonham position” is among the rarest of all drums from the 70’s. Second to that is a virgin 3ply 14” x 26” Bass drum with factory drill consulate mount and cymbal arm mount. What blew me away was the matching 16” x 16” and 16” x 18” Floor Toms. This was the greatest find of my vintage drum collecting. I knew we had to bring it back to show room quality! The Kit includes the Original Factory Front Green Logo Bass Drum Head and Vintage Remo Tom Heads! One of the finishing touches is the Original Vintage Ludwig Rail Consulate Mount and Bass Drum Mounted Cymbal L-Arm mounted in the correct position from the factory. If tuned as advised in Jeff Ocheltree’s Video on YouTube, you will have the exact Bonham drum sound! The Green Sparkle was Bonham’s favorite Kit. This is a vintage head, very rare with possible creases and dimples and can cost up to$300 for one head! Bonham used the factory front head to create his sound. · All Chrome is Vintage Ludwig. This is really good chrome And rate is 8 to 10 but may have pitting, rust, nicks, and scrapes. It is all hand polished but not all perfect. Some parts have been re-chromed, costing a small fortune.
