Description: Vintage Mid-Century Japanese Black Lacquer & Gold Gilded Scenic Tea Set What I have to offer for your viewing pleasure here is this beautiful vintage Japanese lacquer tea set! This wonderful Mid-Century tea set is done in classic Japanese black lacquer with beautiful gold gilded interior bowls, gilded spoon bowls. Each cup and saucer is a set itself with matching engraved designs of famous mountains, temples and other areas in Japan in fabulous detail! It is not marked but the box had a Japanese newspaper from 1954 inside of it as packing paper. The cups, saucers and spoons are in superb overall condition for their age and look to have never been used, the box or case is in bad condition, it is missing its latches, has green paper torn off the top and bottom halves and the interior cloth is discolored and chewed up. If you like you may message me to tell me that you do not want the box. The box measures 20-3/8" long by 14.5" wide by 3-1/8" deep, each saucer measures 5.25" wide, the tea cups are 3.5" wide by 1-7/8" high and each spoon measures 4-9/16" long. DO NOT DUPLICATE OR COPY!
