Description: Vintage English Abbey pattern by Taylor, Smith & Taylor blue transferware ceramic dinner plate. Stamped “English Abbey” on reverse. The signature on the front has faded, but has been attributed to “J. Palin Thornley”. The border has a raised floral design. Condition is used. There is some light surface scratching and allover crazing. There is a hairline crack visible on both sides (more visible on the back) of the plate. There are a few shallow chips on the underside edge as shown in photos. Please zoom all photos for more details. Measures approximately 10 inches diameter.
