Description: BRAND: SEIKO MADE IN: Japan MODEL: Vintage SEIKO 5 SPORTS SPEEDTIMER 7015-8000 CHRONOGRAPH AUTOMATIC WATCH JAPAN 77 SERIAL #3D2958 MEASUREMENTS: CASE WIDTH: 39.08MM INSIDE LUG: 15MM CONDITION NOTES: The case is in decent condition, it has some light nicks and dings, but is clean and sits on the wrist nicely. The dial is a beautiful blue starburst with silver and blue accents and is in good condition, the indices show some aging, and the exterior ring show very light edge damage. The hands show aging to the lume, and could use a relume to really compliment the dial, the chrono hand is in excellent shape. The watch crystal shows some scuff marks on it, but is still very useable, a new crystal can be sourced on ebay or a new piece of glass can be fitted. The watch is fitted with a bear stainless steel band, that fits around a 6.5” wrist, the previous owner modified the bracelet to fit the lugs. The watch is running at around +3s/d, with an amplitude between 220-240, and BE of .1ms, and the date quick set works (ENG/KANJI) The chronograph starts/stops and resets as it should. A new caseback and crown gasket would be recommended, they can be found on ebay. Enjoy this beautiful part of Seiko history. Feel free to ask questions.
