Description: This vintage box (bottom and lid) is a must-have for collectors of the first SHINY BRITE ornaments. The Feather Tree Design Box and Lid are in beautiful condition for old cardboard. There is one fully split corner with tape/residue and one barely split corner on the lid. There are no split corners on the bottom of the box but there is some slight deformation of shape and a hard bumped corner. There is a family name written on the top of the box lid as shown in the provided photographs. Manufactured and used in the United States between 1939 and 1945, encompassing WWII, this original box is a rare find. This box, which reads 45 East 17th Street is earlier than the next variation which reads 39-45 East 17th St. The box measures 9 1/8” long, 6 3/4” wide and 2 1/4” high. This box was manufactured by K W Glass Works, Inc. and the Box Top reads: SHINY BRITE Registered American Made Glass Tree Ornaments Factories K. & W. Glass Works, Inc. North Bergen, N. J.
