Vtg 1960s Box of Cleo Christmas Wrapping Paper Santa's Mail Bag Original Package

Description: For sale is a Vintage Package of "Santa's Mail Bag" Christmas Wrapping Paper manufactured by Cleo Wrap Corporation in the 1960s to early 1970s. It contains 6 rolls of Christmas and holiday-themed wrapping paper, each with different colors and designs. After the rolls were expended, the box was intended to be reused as a deposit box for children's letters to Santa Claus. The box features a unique snap closure at the top, and because of this, it is difficult to tell if the package has been opened in the past. The rolls APPEAR to be unused, but I can't confirm this, as I don't want to attempt to open the package and take a chance of tearing the snap closure from the surrounding cardstock, which appears to be fragile. Considering its age, the outer packaging is in GOOD condition overall, with four tears along one of the box's side panels. The topmost of these tears continues over the edge onto the back panel for about an inch. Otherwise, the box shows moderate wear and creasing along the edges. The colors of both the box and the enclosed wrapping paper are still very bright and vivid. The cellophane plastic window is still intact with no holes or tears, although it has separated from one of the sides. The printed paper note describing suggestions for reusing the box is still attached at the top of the box; it hangs from a tab secured by the snap fastener. However, this paper note shows tears forming along the thin top strip which hangs on the aformentioned tab. (SEE PICTURES for condition details). Item comes from a smoke-free home.
