Description: Vtg 40s WWII Victory Garden Dish Tea Towel Woman w Veggie Wheelbarrow EUC Vintage dish or tea towel. Measures roughly 16.5 x 29.5 inches. Very good to excellent, unused condition; there is one slub or hitch on one edge (see photo). Medium weight cotton. This is a beautiful piece! It is hand blocked and printed in yellows, soft reds, green, blue and charcoal. The colors play well in the printing overlays. The elements are cleanly registered and printed. This woman is definitely doing her part! Her wheelbarrow is full of vegetables from her Victory Garden. Peas, beets, turnips, carrots, onions, mushrooms, peppers cauliflower and plenty of greens. She is colorfully dressed in a full skirt with flouce and a button-front puffed sleeve blouse (she's also wearing Ginger Rogers style heels, cuz ya gotta show off those veggies in the best way possible). Her apron has a flounce matching the skirt and has a big bow or sash in back. Beautiful home front textile. This would be a stand-out in any linen collection and is worthy of framing.
