Description: Homelite Super XL Auto, a 58 cc chainsaw made sometime in the late 1960's - early 70's. Saw starts easy, runs, idles, and oils as it should. All controls work as they should. PLEASE LOOK CAREFULLY AT ALL PICTURES, WATCH VIDEO ON PC. If you look at my picture carefully, you can see that the chain is loose- the tensioner is all the way out, so PLEASE do NOT USE this chain. I'll send it so you can get an approximate drive link count so you can buy a new chain. Judging from the discoloration on the bottom of the bar, I'd say a previous owner ran it out of bar oil, heated the bar, and stretched the chain.Oregon 16" sprocket nose bar is otherwise in decent shape, though it will need the rails cleaned up a bit. Because the chain is badly stretched, I haven't cut with this saw. I see no cracks or damage.I think this would make a good occasional user saw and it looks good sitting on the shelf.I haven't touched this saw, so I would guess that the fuel lines are all original (though it looks in good shape). For this reason (and the fact that I just can't guarantee a 40 year old chainsaw) I sell all my saws As Is for parts or repair. All saws may need a carb adjustment for temperature/altitude. This will be carefully packaged and shipped within a day or two of receipt of payment.Stated shipping to the lower 48 states only. Watch Video Video will open in a new window Using the eBay App?
