Very good support is gained when used directly under top mattress stopping "sags" going down to box spring. They lay directly on your bed frame and are held together with a strapping material to keep the slats in position. Our choice of wood is top grade, smooth with a slight wax coating. Please measure the width of your bed prior to purchasing your slats. Allow 1/4" play on either side of the bed frame when measuring. If you are buying these slats to go in between mattress and box spring then just measure across the mattress and purchase that width.
