Description: A fabulous antique Georgian 9k rose gold paste intaglio Goddess ring. This wonderful Georgian (William IV) solid 9k rose gold intaglio ring has a wonderful reddish tinged gently curving paste stone deeply and finely carved with a portrait of the Goddess of Harvests, Ceres, depicted with incredible and minute details throughout the carving, the ring with fabulous scrolling and etched shoulders. The ring tests for 9k gold. The ring is approximately a size 9 3/4. The paste stone measures approximately 18mm x 14mm. The ring rises about 6mm above the finger. The total weight of the ring is approximately 7.3 grams. The ring is in very good condition with light general wear including some nibbles to the edge of the paste stone. The ring has been resized. This wonderful Georgian (William IV) solid 9k rose gold intaglio ring has a wonderful gently curving onyx stone which glows a lovely reddish-black in the light, deeply and finely carved with a portrait of the Goddess of Harvests, Ceres, complete with curling hair and wheat stalks, carved with such incredible and minute details that even individual hairs are depicted, the ring with fabulous scrolling Neoclassical shoulders with little etched keyholes and arrows underneath. The ring is hallmarked with a London, England date letter 'S' for 1833. The ring tests for 9k gold. The ring is approximately a size 9 3/4. The stone measures approximately 18mm x 14mm. The ring rises about 6mm above the finger. The total weight of the ring is approximately 7.3 grams.
