Description: WWII Era British Army 18" Machete & Canvas Scabbard - Marked: Sheffield and Dated 1945 - Very Nice Condition Up for sale is a WWII Era British 18" Machete & Canvas Scabbard. The machete is marked: Sheffield England. The markings are clear and readable. There is are no nicks or chips on the blade, see photo. Some discoloration to the blade, from age. No chips or cracks in the handle. There is evidence of sharpening on the blade. It is used, see photo's for Condition. The scabbard is in Excellent Condition. It is marked with the Broad Arrow proof and is dated 1945. It has a metal throat with a full heavy duck canvas body. The canvas at the tip of the scabbard is re-enforced and riveted for added strength. The scabbard is the same design as the US Machete Scabbard of the same period. See photo's for condition.
