Our Products Yerba mate comes from the naturally caffeinated leaves of a native species of holly tree, Ilex paraguariensis, found deep in the South Atlantic Rainforest. Guayakí's yerba mate leaves are grown and hand harvested by yerbateros (cultivators) from small farms and Indigenous communities in Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. After the leaves are harvested, dried and ground, they are packaged into our dried yerba mate product offerings or brewed as the foundational ingredient of our ready-to-drink can and bottle offerings.
